Murfreesboro restaurant Five Senses welcomes guests to dine in the parking lot while social distancing

To slow the spread of COVID-19, Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee mandated the closure of restaurant and bar dining rooms last week.
And one local restaurant owner is offering a creative way to serve his customers in a responsible way.
Five Senses Restaurant chef Mitchell Murphree is hosting "Five in the Lot" — FITL, for short — so customers can dine at a distance, but still enjoy good food and company.
"Mitchell came up with the idea because we wanted to create the Five Senses experience, but obviously we can't create that in the dining room. So we created it outside," said Krista Murphree, wife of the chef.

More than two weeks ago, Five Senses began offering delivery in addition to curbside pickup.
With the sunshine’s return, Murphree had the idea to welcome customers to eat the takeout in their parked cars. The concept is like a drive-in movie, without the movie.
Five Senses will offer the parking lot dining during regular hours, 5:30-9:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 5:30-10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
How it works
When you arrive, you’ll be given a numbered area made up of at least three parking spaces that goes beyond the recommended 6 feet between others outside your family unit.
The disposable menu offers instruction on how to text your order to the kitchen. A server brings out the food and drinks to you, including cocktails and drinks from the bar.
“We’re making it as touchless as possible. We are using Venmo (for paying the bill), gloves, eco-friendly products,” Krista Murphree said. “So when you come, you will get that awesome Five Senses experience you’ve come to know and love.”
Although Murphree doesn’t encourage eating outside your vehicle, many diners brought their own tables and chairs — even tablecloths — for a tailgating-style dinner.

Sunshine was a big reason for Rita and Don Ash to dine alfresco at Five in the Lot. She invited some of their friends to join them in the lot.
“We have a reason to get out … and be with friends across the parking lot. None of us has seen each other,” Rita Ash said.
Ash said it’s another way her family can support local businesses, which are struggling amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Small businesses all seem to be thinking outside the box. This is something a little big different that nobody is doing,” Ash said.

Five Senses is a fine dining restaurant that is known for dishes made from fresh seafood and local meats along with its seasonal menu. The décor and dining atmosphere is quite soothing and inviting for couples and families alike. Since the dishes are made from locally produced and seasonal ingredients, the menu is kept brief to pay homage to each. Five Senses main menu for instance includes a range of seafood and meat based dishes such as grilled fish, pork, a rabbit pasta and the classic pan roasted duck breast. Five Senses's appetizers are made to entice the palette for the courses that follow. Some of the traditional classics in this section include rabbit terrine which is made from house-made crackers, mustard, pickled onions and peppers. Salads include braised root vegetables and a salad made from local lettuces. z

The Five Senses Restaurant, Bar & Catering is an award-winning establishment located in the city's Georgetown Park district. Their hearty dishes blend traditional flavors of American Southern favorites with modern French cuisine.
Five Senses Restaurant continues to draw both critics and foodies, alike. The establishment has snagged many honors including Best of Nashville Award. Visit their restaurant to enjoy one of the area's best dining experiences.
History
Siblings Mitchell and Mollie Murphree first opened Five Senses Restaurant, Bar & Catering on Nov. 18, 2004. The pair wants diners to have an unforgettable, gourmet dining experience. Their mission is to create mouthwatering, healthy dishes with fresh, local ingredients.
Head Chef Mitchell Murray designed four seasonal menus that require patrons to engage all senses. The restaurant only uses fresh seafood, local meats, and produce from area farmers. The facility purchases their ingredients from Haskell Evans, 4K Farms, Blue Leaf Farms, The Hamery, and HPA Farms.
Dining Experience
When you initially walk into the restaurant, you will immediately notice its chic, industrial decor. The marble floors are a slate tan; the bright walls are colorful and warm. Its atmosphere is vibrant and relaxed. Five Senses is perfect for an intimate date night or small celebration.
Appetizer Menu
Begin your meal with a tasty appetizer plate. Order their crisp, fried Gulf oysters. The starter dish is prepared with a spicy Creole mustard, aioli, garlic chives, Andouille sausage, and Serrano hot sauce.
They also offer a grilled flatbread sandwich pressed with goat cheese, sweet potatoes, and a red onion marmalade. Other featured appetizers include their artisanal cheese & marinated olives, tuna chicharrónes, tempura local beef pot roast, and falafels.
Dinner Menu
The dinner, cocktail, and wine menus change every winter, spring, summer, and fall. Their current dinner menu features several fabulous entrees. Ask for their grilled mahi mahi plate. The dish is accompanied with a beet salad, toasted walnuts, cauliflower-potato puree, and spinach.
Sample their succulent, coffee-rubbed duck breast. They also offer a tender, masala-braised lamb. The plate is served with a roasted vegetable mash, raita, and flatbread.
The establishment also sells a sesame-crusted yellowfin tuna plate, seared scallops, and a pan-roasted chicken breast. If you're in the mood for a lighter dish, request one of their salads.
Dessert
End your meal with one of the eatery's tempting desserts. Try their warm, apple crisp with a spicy ginger ice cream, black rum syrup, and almond brittle.
Chocolate lovers can order the chocolate almond cake. Cooks finish every cake with caramel Bavarian cream, an amaretto ganache, and pistachios.
They also sell gooey Butterscotch pots de crème sweetened with bourbon whipped cream and candied pears.

Convex and large, he seemed to be asking for anal sex, waddling with every step of his mistress. And how could you not look at such splendor. Now the anal ring was so invitingly compressed and unclenched that Sasha could not stand it. - Do not.
