Please review the following rules for scheduling pickups:

  • The ready time and latest time available dropdowns only display truly available times for your selection based on the current time to ensure that you can successfully schedule a pickup at your convenience.
  • For FedEx Express® U.S. and Canada origin shipments, pickup is available online for the current day and the next day only.
    • Pickup for future day shipments beyond Next Day is not available online through FedEx Ship Manager®.
    • To schedule a pickup, you must call Customer Service on the day your shipment is to be picked up.
  • For FedEx Ground® U.S. and Canada origin shipments, pickup is available online for the next day or for a future date up to 14 days in the future. FedEx Ground same-day pickup service is available in select areas (provided you request it before the cut-off time in your area) for FedEx Ground and FedEx Home Delivery® packages excluding FedEx Ground Return Solutions.
  • For your convenience, you may schedule pickups for FedEx Ground, FedEx Express and FedEx Express® Freight from this page. However, pickups from each service must be scheduled separately and pickups will occur independently.
    • Please see Package Information for details about each service.
    • To set up FedEx Express or FedEx Ground regular pickup service, please contact your FedEx account executive.
To Schedule a Pickup
  1. Select Schedule a Pickup from the Ship tab.
  2. On the Schedule a Pickup screen, review the pickup address to verify it is correct or click Change Pickup Address to enter a different pickup location.
  3. Select the service type for your pickup and provide the package information.
  4. You can add up to 4 e-mail addresses if you would like to receive notifications regarding the pickup request.
  5. Click Schedule Pickup.
  6. For detailed help with sections on this screen, scroll down, select the from the list below, or click the Help link at the top of each section:

Note: To manage your scheduled pickups, click the Pickup History tab to view, edit, cancel, or print scheduled pickups. You can review Pickup History for more information.

Your Account Number
  • Select a FedEx account number or nickname from the drop-down menu.
Add an Account
  1. Click Add an Account.
  2. Enter the account number and an optional nickname on the fedex.com Login Registration screen.
  3. Click Continue.

Change Pickup Address
  • Click Change Pickup Address to select a new company or contact name from your fedex.com Address Book, edit individual fields, or clear all fields and enter all new information.
Add New Pickup Information to Address Book
  • Select this option to save a new pickup address.
Save Changes to Existing Address in Address Book
  • Select this option to save an updated pickup address.
Use Account Address
  • Select this option to use your original account address.

You can schedule pickups for FedEx Express, FedEx Ground, and FedEx Express Freight Services at the same time. Just select each pickup service needed and enter the required package information.

Note: To set up FedEx Express or FedEx Ground regular pickup service, please contact your FedEx Account Executive.

Schedule a FedEx Express Pickup
Schedule a FedEx Ground Pickup
  • FedEx Ground provides pickup service upon request, for an additional charge. For regular scheduled pickup customers we assess the Weekly Pickup Fee to the account number associated with the regular scheduled pickup. For customers that do not have a regular scheduled pickup we assess a per package on-call pickup charge. On-call pickup charges do not apply if you drop off your package at a FedEx shipping location. Additionally, on-call pickup charges do not apply to FedEx Print Return Label, FedEx E-Mail Return Label and FedEx Ground Package Return Program pickups. See Shipping Fees.
  • For regular scheduled pickup customers, FedEx provides pickup service upon request to an address other than the shipping location of the FedEx Ground account number for an additional Alternate Address Pickup charge per unique address per week. See Shipping Fees.
Schedule a FedEx Express Freight Pickup
  • Select this option if your package weighs more than 150 pounds.
    • You can schedule a freight pickup for the current day only.
  • For details, contact Freight Customer Service at 1.800.332.0807.
    • Packages must be ready two (2) hours prior to your company's close time.
    • The latest time that FedEx can accept a package for pickup/departure varies according to your location and the destination of your package.
  • While labels can be generated for future day shipments and space reserved days in advance through the booking process, a freight pickup can only be scheduled for the actual shipping day.
  • Domestic shipments weighing less than 151 lbs. can be sent by either FedEx Express or FedEx Ground.
Pickup Times
  • Ready Time: If your FedEx service requires a ready time, please indicate the earliest time that your packages will be ready for pickup.
    • If you are in a remote area, please make sure to accommodate remote pickup schedules. For remote area pickup schedules, call FedEx Customer Support at 1.800.GoFedEx 1.800.463.3339.
  • Latest Time Available – For all services, please indicate the latest time your package can be picked up (or company's close time). Make sure this time is within the operating hours of your local FedEx service center.
Saturday Pickup Service
  • Saturday pickup service is offered in select locations worldwide for your FedEx Express packages and FedEx Express Freight Shipments.
    • Saturday drop-off is also available at many FedEx locations.
    • For some services, a special handling fee may be charged.

  1. Select the format type for your email notifications.
  2. Enter email addresses for the Sender and Recipient and select the email language for each from the drop-down menus.
  3. To send notifications to 2 other users, click Add Additional Recipients, enter the email addresses, and select the email language for each from the drop-down menus.
  4. To add a personal message to your email notifications, click Add a Personal Message and enter up to 120 characters. A personal message is not available for non-English characters.

Schedule Pickup
  • Click Schedule Pickup to complete scheduling your pickup.
  • The pickup details will display on the FedEx Pickup Confirmation screen.
Edit Pickup Information
  • On the FedEx Pickup Confirmation screen, click Back or Edit to make changes to your pickup address and information.
  • Then click Update Pickup.
  • To discard any changes made to the pickup information, click Discard Changes. Your original pickup information will be used for the pickup.
Cancel Your Pickup
  • Click Cancel, and then choose Yes when alerted to confirm the pickup cancellation.
  • The Pickup History screen will display, showing the status of the pickup changed to Cancelled.
Get Rate Quote
  • Click Get Rate Quote to receive an estimate based on the pickup address and package information you provided.
Print a Shipping Label
  • Click Ship to go to FedEx Ship Manager. Complete the required shipment and package information, and then print your shipping label.

After selecting an account, the pickup screen will update to reflect your choice.
  • To open a closed section, click Edit at the top of the section.
  • To close an opened section, click Hide at the top of the section.


Complete the required information on the Schedule a Pickup screen and click Schedule pickupto submit your request.

All required fields are noted with an asterisk (*).

Account Details
Select your desired account number. To locate the appropriate account number:
  1. Sort By — choose to sort your account list by company name or account number. After marking the appropriate option, your drop–down menu will be sorted accordingly. Click on the arrow next to the drop–down menu to select an account.
  2. Predictive Typing — type characters directly into the account drop–down menu to narrow your search.

Add an Account
Add another FedEx account to the Select an Account drop down by clicking the Add an account link. For accounts with FedEx Ship Manager ®Shipping Administration access, you can add accounts via the Administration tab.

Select the appropriate payment type for your shipment:
  1. Shipper — select this option if you or your company is paying the shipping charges
  2. Consignee — select this option if the recipient will be paying the shipping charges
  3. Third Party — will be selected for you if a third party ('bill to') account is being used to pay pickup charges

Select the appropriate payment terms for your shipment:
  1. Prepaid — select this option for shipments paid for and shipped by you using the same account number
  2. Collect — select this option for shipments paid for by the recipient

Pickup Address
Based on the account and payment type selected in the Account details section, some pickup address information may automatically be filled out for you. In the remaining fields, use one of the following options to enter or select the shipper information.
  • Check the box labeled View contacts by account number to filter contacts so only the contacts associated with the selected account are displayed. Select the sender using the Company or Contact name drop–down menus.
  • Select a saved entry from your Address Book.
  • Enter all required information for a new shipper. Once all fields have been completed, check Add new pickup location to address book to retain shipping details for future shipments.

If making changes to an existing entry in your address book, check Save changes to existing address to address bookto retain shipping details for future shipments.

This is a residence
  • Select this option to indicate that you are scheduling a pickup from a residence within the U.S. instead of a business address. A residential address is a home or private residence, even if a business is operated from the home.
  • FedEx will automatically check the residential address box if our records indicate the address is a residence. You may choose to deselect the box.
  • There is a charge for pickup from a residence. Please refer to the FedEx Service Guide at fedex.com for more information on residential delivery surcharges.

Pickup Information
Complete all required fields:
  1. Pickup date — click the (symbol) to view a reference calendar.
  2. Ready time — this is the time your shipment will be available for pickup.
  3. Close time — this is the latest time the shipment will be available for pickup.
  4. Pickup contact
    1. Same as requested by — select this option if the pickup contact is the same as the profile on record for this account.
    2. Other contact — select this option to provide the appropriate contact on the dock. Enter all required fields for the pickup contact.
  5. Special services — let us know if any of the listed services are required for your shipment by checking each applicable option. Click the links on the Pickup page to learn more about the rules and additional charges for each service.
    1. Oversized/extreme length
    2. Food
    3. Freezable protection
    4. Do not stack
    5. Lift gate at pickup
    6. Poison
  6. Special instructions — use the space provided to provide pickup numbers and other special instructions relative to the shipment. For international shipments, be sure to enter the contact information for your Customs Broker.

Notify me that FedEx has received my pickup request— select this option to receive a notification that the pickup has been successfully scheduled. Enter the email address where the notification should be sent.

Shipment Details
Enter as much information as possible about your shipment. Required fields are noted with an asterisk(*).

Use the Add rowand Delete rowbuttons to adjust the number of shipments included in your pickup request. Note: shipment details for each row must be complete before adding an additional row. To delete a row, the box to the left of the row that you would like to delete must be checked.
  • To country — indicate the destination country
  • To ZIP/postal code — indicate the destination ZIP or postal code
  • Service type — select either FedEx Freight® Priority or FedEx Freight® Economy
  • Handling Units — let us know the number of primary handling units in the total shipment, i.e. the number of pallets.
  • Weight — enter the total weight of the shipment
  • Packaging Type — from the drop–down menu select the packaging type that best describes your shipment.

Confirmation
A confirmation screen provides shipment highlights as well as a confirmation number that can be used as a reference when communicating with your Service Center.

From the bottom of the confirmation screen you can:
  • Schedule another pickup
  • Get a rate quote — click this button to transfer all of your pickup details to the FedEx Freight rate quote application
  • Create a Bill of Lading — click this button to transfer all of your pickup details to the Bill of Lading generator

Hold your package at a secure location

You’ll need a government-issued photo ID. If your ID address doesn’t match the package label address, you’ll also need

your tracking number and an alternative form of ID. You can use a utility bill or statement, health or auto insurance card,

property statement from a county or city website, or credit card statement.

When can I pick up packages from FedEx?

You should get a text, automated call or email notifying you that your package is ready for pick up. You can pick up your

package any time after that during normal business hours. Hours vary from location to location. Check the hours of

FedEx locations near you.

Where do I pick up my FedEx delivery?

If you directed your package to be held for pickup, go to the location you selected. If you’re not sure which location you

chose call Customer Service at 1.800. GoFedEx 1.800.463.3339.

If it’s a missed delivery, you’ll need to track your package.

How long will a location hold my package for pickup?

*FedEx will hold your package for up to 10 days for FedEx Ground and five days for FedEx Express service before it’s

returned to the shipper.

How to pick up a FedEx package early?

Although your package may be at a local facility, it won’t be available for pickup until processed. FedEx will attempt to

contact you by phone or email once it’s processed and ready for pick up.

If you’ve been notified by FedEx that your package is ready for pickup, you’ll need the tracking number or door tag and a

government-issued photo identification that includes the recipient's address.

Packages that are redirected to a FedEx location after they were shipped are usually available on the original delivery date.

Rarely, another day may be needed to get the package to the new location depending on when the redirect request was

made.

Who can pick up my FedEx package?

Anyone who lives at the same address as you can pick up your package. They’ll need the tracking number and a

government-issued photo ID that proves they live at the same address as the one on the package label. They can also use

an alternative ID to prove they live with you. They can bring a utility bill or statement, health or auto insurance card,

property statement from a county or city website, or credit card statement with them as proof.

Why was my package taken to a FedEx location for customer pickup?

If a delivery requires a signature or if the package can’t be left at your home, we may deliver your package to a nearby

secure location for pickup, such as your local FedEx Office or Walgreens store. With extended business hours, you can

stop by the location listed on your door tag to pick up your package on your schedule, as early as the same day.
