fuboTV is a streaming service that enables subscribers to watch live TV channels. This includes fubo local channels that broadcast a range of programming, from entertainment and movies to news and sports.

fuboTV initially launched as a sports-centric service, with a specific focus on soccer. But it has evolved into an all-encompassing streaming service that offers fubo local channels in addition to national networks like AMC, A&E, and USA.

fuboTV viewers can also subscribe to premium entertainment like SHOWTIME ($10.99/mo.) The service also offers extra packages that viewers can add to their subscription, such as Adventure Plus ($4.99/mo.), Entretenimiento Plus ($4.99/mo.), Fubo Cycling ($11.99/mo.), Fubo Extra ($5.99/mo.), Fubo Latino Plus ($7.99/mo.), International Sports Plus ($5.99/mo.), Portuguese Plus ($14.99/mo.), RAI Italia ($7.99/mo.), and Sports Plus ($10.99/mo.)

This article will explore does fubo have local channels and the content that subscribers can watch on the service. For more information, read our fuboTV review.

Navigating local network channels

Local channels include the four major broadcast networks ABC, CBS, FOX, and NBC. Other smaller local networks are The CW and Spanish speaking channels Telemundo, UniMas, and Univision.

fuboTV local channels feature a diverse range of programming, from news and live sports to dramas and entertainment shows created by the network. The availability of these local channels is dependent on where viewers live. They are available through 210 market regions called designated marketing areas.

fuboTV provides access to FOX and NBC local channels in most areas, and CBS in some regions. However, it only carries ABC in a handful of areas across the US. It also offers Telemundo in most regions and The CW in some areas. The availability of all local networks is dependent on the viewer’s location.

fuboTV’s local channels are navigated through the service’s live TV guide, which offers the same functionality as viewers will be accustomed to with cable. They can scroll through live channels, see shows currently on air, and mark channels as favorites, which locks them to the top of the guide.

The fuboTV user interface also features tabs for Guide, Movies, Shows, and Sports, as well as My Fubo, where viewers’ favorite shows, sports, and teams are stored.

The service is available to stream on web browsers on computers and laptops and via apps for mobile and streaming devices. This includes apps for Android and Apple phones and tablets. fuboTV is available on Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Google Chromecast, and Roku streaming media players. It’s also compatible with Samsung smart TVs and Xbox One game consoles. For all the information about how to watch the service, read our fuboTV compatible streaming devices guide.

fuboTV offers several packages for subscribers to choose from. The standard fuboTV package costs $59.99/mo. and includes more than 90 channels, along with 2 simultaneous streams and 30 hours of storage space via the service’s cloud digital video recorder (DVR) feature. Upgrading to the fuboTV Family plan costs $64.99/mo. and includes the same channels as the standard package plus 3 simultaneous streams and 500 hours of cloud DVR storage space. fuboTV’s premium package, fuboTV Ultra, adds the fuboTV extra, fuboTV Sports Plus, and 9 SHOWTIME channels for $84.99/mo. It also includes 3 simultaneous streams and 500 hours of cloud DVR storage space. For more information about how much the service costs, read our guide to fuboTV packages, pricing, and channels.

Regional Sports Networks on fuboTV

Sports fans who want to watch live games from their local region will most likely need to do so through regional sports networks. Most live games from local regions are broadcast by FOX and NBC’s regional sports networks. fuboTV includes NBC regional sports networks but lacks those from FOX. But it does offer four further local networks in specific regions.

The full lineup of regional sports networks on fuboTV is:

  • AT&T SportsNet Southwest
  • NBC Sports Chicago
  • NBC Sports Washington
  • NBC Sports Boston
  • NBC Sports Northwest
  • NBC Sports Philadelphia
  • NBC Sports Bay Area
  • NBC Sports California
  • SportsNet NY
  • NESN (New England Sports Network)
  • MSG Network (Madison Square Garden)

Shows on fuboTV

Shows available to fuboTV subscribers include all of the content produced by the local channels in its lineup. This means fuboTV viewers in most regions can watch shows on FOX and NBC, and some will be able to watch ABC content, depending on availability. Viewers in some areas will also be able to watch Telemundo, The CW, UniMas, and Univision.

Shows on ABC include Emergence, For Life, Grey’s Anatomy, Modern Family, and Stumptown.

FOX local channels include plenty of great comedy and dramas like Atlanta, Gotham, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Last Man Standing, and Prodigal Son. FOX also enables viewers to watch animated shows like Bob’s Burgers, Family Guy, and The Simpsons.

NBC also has a good choice of dramas like Chicago Med, Friday Night Lights, House, New Amsterdam, and This Is Us. Comedy lovers will also enjoy shows like Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Parks and Recreation, The Good Place, and Will and Grace. The network also offers several reality TV shows such as America’s Got Talent and The Voice.

Viewers in a region that includes The CW can watch dramas like Coroner, DC’s Stargirl, Nancy Drew, Supernatural, Tell Me A Story, and The 100. It also includes magic reality show Penn and Teller: Fool Us and the comedy series Whose Line Is It Anyway?.

Telemundo, UniMas, and Univision are Spanish language channels available in some fuboTV regions. Telemundo features news and sports programming, as well as popular shows like Enemigo Íntimo, Todo por mi Hija, and Tierra de Reyes.

The final cut

fuboTV provides a wide selection of more than 90 live channels for viewers to choose from. This includes several local channels that offer news and sports, as well as the networks’ own comedy, drama, and entertainment programming. However, the availability of these local channels is dependent on where viewers live, so it’s important to check the channel lineup in that region before signing up for the service.

The standard fuboTV service costs $59.99/mo. It also has a Family plan available for $64.99/mo. and the premium fuboTV Ultra package costs $84.99/mo. fuboTV also offers a seven-day free trial for new customers to test the service out and discover the channel lineup available to them before they commit to paying for it.

If you’re tired of paying a big cable bill each month, you may find that cutting the cord and subscribing to fuboTV is a great money-saving solution in 2021.

This live TV streaming service is one of a handful of options for people looking to leave the cable company behind for good. Many people have heard of popular services like Sling TV and YouTube TV, but you may not know that fuboTV also has a menu of the top cable channels and sports networks for a similar price.

In this article, I’ll walk you through everything you need to know about fuboTV’s live television subscription service.

What Is fuboTV? Team Clark Reviews the Live TV Streaming Service

fuboTV streaming service

For as little as $65 per month, a fuboTV subscription provides access to more than 90 popular broadcast and cable channels. There is no contract or cable box required. You can stream content live or on demand from your television, phone, tablet or computer.

You may see the $65 per month price for fuboTV’s starter and think to yourself: “That’s the same price as YouTube TV and Hulu + Live TV. What makes fuboTV worth skipping those options?”

I’ll get into answering that question with this article, but what I can tell you right away is that fuboTV’s “Starter” package offers a large helping of sports content that may attract the sports nuts in your household. But fuboTV is not one-dimensional. It provides access to many popular non-sports channels as well.

And for those who want even more, fuboTV has a “Pro” and an “Elite” tier subscription that gives you additional channels for $80 per month.

Team Clark has tested fuboTV and the other major live TV streaming services. Read on to learn what you need to know before you sign up!

Table of Contents:

1. What Channels Do You Get With fuboTV?

If you’re considering a fuboTV subscription, you’re going to have three base channel packages from which to choose.

  • fuboTV – Starter
  • fuboTV – Pro
  • fuboTV – Elite

fuboTV prides itself on offering a large menu of sports channels, so you’ll find all of the professional sports leagues (MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL) and college sports leagues (SEC, ACC, Big Ten, Pac-12) represented by their networks as well as the ESPN and FS1 families of channels.

The Starter package, which is the cheaper of the two at $65 per month, offers popular channels including Disney Channel, Fox News, MSNBC and USA in addition to many of the sports channels I mentioned above.

In 2021, fuboTV began offering a Pro package for as low as $70 per month. This includes many of the same channels as the Starter package but has a few upgrades on things like cloud DVR storage and simultaneous streams.

Upgrading to the Elite package, which costs $80 per month, will unlock more sports networks such as ESPNews, ESPNU and MLB Network.

The one sports blindspot you may find is the regional sports networks. Contract issues with providers will leave some fans unable to watch their local team on this service.

fuboTV offers access to local ABC, NBC, CBS and FOX affiliates with either package, but you’ll want to verify that all four are available in your viewing area. If they aren’t, you could use these alternative methods to access local channels.

To see if local channels and regional sports networks are available where you live, check your ZIP code on fuboTV’s website.

Below is a comparison of the Starter, Pro and Elite channel packages. If you want to compare fuboTV’s channel lineup to other streaming TV services, see our side-by-side chart or use our live TV streaming channel tool.

Add-on Channel Packages

If you don’t see a channel you want on one of the above base packages, don’t give up just yet.

For an additional fee, you can pay for the following add-on packages that are tailored to specific channel interests.

The Sports Plus add-on package includes the popular NFL RedZone Channel.

International Channel Packages

In addition to those add-on packages, fuboTV subscribers can enjoy entertainment from around the globe thanks to some international package offerings.

Packages available at an additional monthly cost include:

  • Latino Plus
  • RAI Italia
  • Portuguese Plus
  • Entretenimiento Plus
  • TV5MONDE (French)
  • CONMEBOL y Más

Premium Channels and Services

In addition to add-on channel packages, fuboTV also offers premium subscription services.

For example, you can pay $11 per month for a Showtime subscription as a part of your monthly fuboTV bill. That content would be available to stream on your fuboTV app alongside the content from your base subscription.

Here’s a sampling of the premium channels or services that are available through fuboTV:

  • Showtime
  • EPIX
  • AMC Premiere

2. Does fuboTV Include Cloud DVR?

fuboTV offers cloud DVR functionality as a part of its perks for the Starter, Pro and Elite packages.

A cloud-based DVR allows users to record any live programs and watch them at a later time. This means you’ll be able to record all your favorite TV shows, movies or sporting events and then watch them at your leisure.

The Starter channel package comes with 250 hours of cloud DVR storage space. For an additional fee, you can boost this storage to 1000 hours.

But before you pay up for that add-on, you may want to consider upping your subscription level from Starter to either Pro or Elite. Both channel package comes with 1000 hours of cloud DVR storage included. That’s going to give you access to additional channels for a slightly lower price increase than the DVR upgrade alone.

You can fast forward through your DVR content with fuboTV without commercial interruption. That’s a big plus.

Here’s how the fuboTV cloud DVR offerings compare to several of its top competitors:

3. How Do You Stream fuboTV?

One of the biggest perks of cutting the cord and opting into a service like fuboTV is the variety of ways in which you can enjoy the content.

Not only can you move seamlessly from device to device, but you can also take your recorded content with you thanks to the portability of the cloud DVR.

You can stream fuboTV on your smartphone, tablet, computer or your TV. All you need is high-speed internet access to enjoy.

If you’re planning to watch on your television, you’ll either need a smart TV that has compatibility with fuboTV or a streaming device like a Roku or Amazon Fire TV stick.

Here’s a list of compatible devices according to fuboTV’s website:

  • Android smartphones and tablets
  • Apple smartphones and tablets (iPhone, iPad, etc.)
  • Amazon Fire TV
  • Android TV
  • Android Smart TVs
  • Apple TV
  • Chromecast with Google TV
  • Roku
  • Samsung Smart TVs
  • Xbox gaming devices

4. Can a Family Share fuboTV?

Another big concern for cord cutters is ensuring that the entire household is able to enjoy watching television the same way that they have with cable.

fuboTV shines in this area as well — without charging you for a box to use on each TV.

If you subscribe to the Starter package, each household can watch up to three streams simultaneously. Upgrading to the the Pro or Elite package will unlock unlimited simultaneous streams (with up to 10 simultaneous streams at home).

And there are six accounts included with a fuboTV membership. So everyone in the household can get their own unique cloud DVR storage spaces and personal settings for consumption.

These numbers are very good when compared to some of fuboTV’s top competitors.

Pros and Cons for fuboTV

One of the most robust collections of sports channels available on the live TV streaming marketTurner networks (CNN, TBS, TNT) are no longer available
Good mix of live news and entertainment networksSome local channels and regional sports networks may not be available
User profiles and multiple streams are among the best in the categoryPricing puts it at the higher end of the live TV streaming market

A few years ago, fuboTV may have been seen as a niche live TV streaming service that catered to sports fans.

But it’s clear that fuboTV has worked to put its channel menu and functionality on par with the live TV streaming leaders like YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV and Sling TV.

The combination of its sports-oriented content and well-rounded additions creates an attractive YouTube TV alternative for some sports fans.

This service is not for everyone, though. If you’re not worried about access to live sports, value live TV streaming services like Sling TV (as low as $35 per month) and Philo ($25 per month) offer a cheaper option for your wallet.

Before you sign up, review fuboTV’s channel lineup and compare it to YouTube TV, Hulu Live and Sling TV.

One of the biggest concerns most people have before cutting the cord is how they will watch local channels without cable. A digital antenna is a great option for many people, but they don’t always work depending on your location and broadcast area. It can also be frustrating to have to switch back and forth between your streaming service and antenna input just to watch your favorite shows live as they air.

If you are a sports fan, even perfect antenna reception leaves a lot to be desired. You won’t get access to regional sports networks (RSNs) via antenna. That’s where live TV streaming services come to the rescue.

FuboTV is a popular streaming service that provides excellent local and RSN coverage — in addition to just about everything else that cable TV provides. There are over 100 channels in their basic Startup package. This includes a ton of sports channels including big ones like ESPN and Fox Sports 1 as well as less common ones like CBS Sports Network. There are also more specialized channels like NFL Network.

But what exact local channel lineup does FuboTV provide? Read on to learn about the local channels you’ll get with FuboTV.

What Is FuboTV?

FuboTV on Android Phone

FuboTV is a live TV streaming service. It’s what you think of as a cable provider but delivered via your internet connection. As a result, it’s cheaper than regular cable. And in general, it provides more than you will get from any given cable company.

The fact that live TV streaming services work with your internet connection does not mean that you need to watch TV on your computer. FuboTV works with almost all devices, including Amazon Fire TV, Android, Apple TV, Chromecast, iOS (eg, iPhone), Roku, Xbox One, and various smart TVs.

There are several live TV streaming services, which we discuss below. FuboTV is best known for its selection of sports channels — especially international sports like soccer. But over the past few years, FuboTV has broadened its offerings to make it as good a general (live and on-demand) streaming service as you will find. See our FuboTV review for more information.

FuboTV Live Streaming Plans

Although FuboTV offers many add-ons, it has three base plans that should suit the needs of most consumers.

  • Starter: $64.99/mo for 100+ channels, 250 hours of cloud DVR storage, and up to 3 simultaneous streams on different screens. This is the current version of the older Family plan.
  • Elite: $79.99/mo offers everything in the Starter plan along with 47 extra TV channels (Fubo Extra add-on), 1,000 hours of cloud DVR storage, and up to 12 simultaneous streaming devices (10 at home and 2 remote).
  • Latino Quarterly: $33.00/mo for 32 Spanish-language channels, 250 hours of DVR storage, and 3 simultaneous screens.

The Starter plan offers a broad selection of channels from news (eg, BBC America, CNN) to entertainment (eg, USA, AMC) to lifestyle (eg, Food Network, HGTV) to sports (Golf Channel, beIN Sports). It even includes the Disney Channel. And for Spanish speakers, the low-cost Latino plan provides a large selection of content like Discovery Familia, Galavisión, and TyC Sports.

These plans can be upgraded with add-ons to add other live channels. These range from sports (eg, Sports Plus with NFL RedZone) to premium (eg, Showtime which comes with 9 channels) to foreign-language (eg, RAI Italia and Portuguese Plus).

See our FuboTV Packages page for more details about the different plans.

FuboTV Local Channels

Local Network Affiliates

There are two kinds of local channels that FuboTV provides: network affiliates and regional stations. Their availability is dependent upon the location of the subscriber.

There are 8 networks that FuboTV provides access to: ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, The CW, Telemundo, Univision, and UniMás. Most locations do not provide access to them all.

These are our judgments of how widely each is offered:

Regional Sports Networks

FuboTV offers at least some regional stations in most areas. These include important regional sports networks (RSNs), which can be critical additions for local fans.

There are 13 base RSNs with 4 sister channels for a total of 17.

What Local Channels Does FuboTV Provide in Your Area?

As you can see in the last two sections, the selection of local and regional stations follows some tendencies. For example, there is good coverage of CBS and Telemundo across the United States. And most areas have one or more NBC RSN.

But before you decide, it’s good to know exactly what channels will be included in your plan. FuboTV provides a great Channel Finder tool. You simply enter your zip code and it lists all the local stations you will receive.

Alternative Live TV Streaming Services

Not all live TV streaming services provide local channels. Philo, for example, does not offer them. Similarly, Sling TV does not provide local channels directly but instead offers the Bonus Locals Bundle that includes an HD antenna and AirTV 2 for seamless control of all channels.

For those who want local channels as part of their plans, FuboTV has 3 primary competitors: AT&T TV, Hulu Live TV, and YouTube TV. All of these streaming services offer similar local and regional programming options.

To provide some overall idea of local coverage, let’s look at what channels are offered in two very different markets. First, we have the small city of Billings, Montana (population ~110,000):

The CW
Altitude Sports
AT&T Sportsnet
Root Sports

And here is the large metropolitan area of Brooklyn, NY (population: ~2.6 million):

The CW
Cozi TV
MyNetwork TV
AT&T Sportsnet

This is roughly what we see throughout the United States. Smaller media markets are usually covered best by AT&T TV. In more populated areas, both FuboTV and YouTube TV match or outpace AT&T TV. Hulu Live TV has very good coverage of local affiliates but they don’t offer much in terms of RSNs.

Here’s an overview of the base plans offered by these four streaming services:

Does FuboTV have local channels?

FuboTV offers at least some access to local channels everywhere they provide service. In lower-population areas, AT&T TV offers a better selection of channels but their plans cost more and don’t provide as extensive a selection of sports.

Does FuboTV have local sports?

In most areas, FuboTV offers a large selection of regional sports networks. Depending on your location, you can get access to SportsNet, regional NBC Sports, and MSG Network. These complement an enormous selection of general live sports channels (eg, beIn Sports) as well as specific sport (eg, Golf) and league (eg, NBA TV) channels.

Can you watch the local ABC affiliate on FuboTV?

For some time, FuboTV did not offer access to local ABC affiliates. But as of late 2020, they added ABC affiliates in almost all of their markets. At this point, you should be able to get the 4 major networks as well as Telemundo in most media markets.

Does Hulu have better local coverage than FuboTV?

Hulu Live TV and FuboTV offer comparable local channel coverage. In less populated areas, Hulu may offer more local affiliates. And Hulu has much better coverage with The CW. However, FuboTV usually offers better Spanish-language affiliates. And it offers much better access to regional sports networks.

Channels abc local fubotv

fuboTV provides access to local channels including ABC, CBS, Fox, and NBC. However, not all subscribers in all areas will be able to get their local channels through fuboTV. The reason for this is the live TV service’s local channel support depends highly on the user’s location. Therefore, it is important to understand which local channels are available, and how to check, before signing up.

fuboTV is only one of a number of live TV streaming services now operating in the US. Priced similar to Hulu Live TV and YouTube TV, fuboTV does come with an emphasis on live sports. In spite of this focus, fuboTV may not be a good option for users in select areas if access to local channels and regional sports networks are not available.

Understanding what local channels and affiliates are on offer with fuboTV is not so straightforward. In general, the service does offer access to ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, CW, Telemundo, and Univision channels. However, and unlike other services including YouTube TV, fuboTV does not necessarily offer any of these major local channels nationwide. Instead, consumers will need to verify that locals and RSNs are available in their specific location.

The easiest way to do this is before signing up. Consumers can simply check which channels are available in their area by heading over to the fuboTV website. When visiting the website, the main fuboTV channel lineup will be visible and, depending on the user’s browser settings, the same list should also show which local channels are available in the area the browser is accessing the website from. Of course, if accessing the website from a different location then the channel list shown is likely to be different to what the consumer will actually receive when at home and using the service.

Checking for specific locals

In addition to the main website, fuboTV also offers an in-depth help page which makes clear exactly which local channels are available. When using the support page, consumers can press “Control” and “F” together on a PC or “Command” and “F” when using a Mac to search for their specific location by name. For example, searching for “Los Angeles” to see which locals are available in LA.

The user will then be able to see whether ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC, The CW, Telemundo, Univision or UniMas is available in their location. If any of these channels are available, the name of the local affiliate will be displayed in the corresponding box next to the area. The main local channels, ABC, CBS, Fox and NBC appear to be fairly commonly available in most areas listed, although some may find as few as one local channel is available in their individual area.

If the user finds their location is not listed on the page, then it likely means that local channels and affiliates are currently not available in their location though fuboTV. Of course, this list on not a final list, so it is possible that additional areas will be added as and when support becomes available.

Regardless of how supported an individual area is, fuboTV subscribers can always check to see if their local channel is available to stream through the network’s own app. fuboTV offers TV Everywhere support for many of the channels in its lineup, and this allows subscribers to log in to a network app using their fuboTV account details. Once the subscription has been authenticated, the subscriber will be able to stream content through the network app, including live TV.

fuboTV local channels summary

fuboTV does provide access to a number of local channels including ABC, CBS, Fox, and NBC, but exactly which channels are available to a subscriber will depend on the user’s location. Due to this, subscribers will need to check if their area is currently supported and which local affiliates can be accessed.

This can be done by checking the channel lineup when visiting the main fuboTV website. In addition, there is also the option for a more granular look at exactly which affiliates are available in a given area through the company’s support website. In situations where a local channel is supported by fuboTV but is unavailable in a specific area, it may be worth checking if TV Everywhere support provides access to the missing local channel.

How to Live Stream ABC for Free without an Antenna

Olya cried, said that she loved only me, but she really liked being with women and could not help herself. I had a choice: either to part with her or to accept her as she is. Perhaps it was worth parting, but I loved her, and I myself liked to fuck with the boys - there was.

Such a sin behind me, Then, I told her everything. Olya was glad to hear this from me.

Now discussing:

Dreaming, thinking. - Yes, the Mistress asked you a question, you are our insignificance, dreamer, damn it. With a kick, the Boss pushed her into the middle of the room: - Now we will remember.
