Areas Denton Animal Services - Linda McNatt Animal Care & Adoption Center Serves

We serve the city of Denton with animal needs. Our shelter houses animals for Corinth, Roanake, Krum, and Denton County.

Denton Animal Services - Linda McNatt Animal Care & Adoption Center's Adoption Process

All animals adopted from Animal Services are spayed or neutered. The animals in the adoption area have already recovered from this surgery and are ready to go home with their new families.

The fee for adopting a dog or a cat is $60. This fee includes: Spay/Neuter for the animal, some pre-surgery testing, species specific vaccinations, micro-chip with registration, and a rabies shot. For animals adopted by Denton residents, the City registration is waived. There are some animals that have an adoption subsidy attached to them, which will lower the adoption price. These animals usually have special needs of some sort and can make wonderful companions.

When you come to the shelter to see about adopting a new companion, we recommend that you already have prepared your home. Preparation should include getting food, food bowls, leash and collar, toys, litter box for cats and a tag with your name and phone number. By having these items already purchased, there will be no need to stop on the way home so you can enjoy your new friend that much earlier.

Support Adoption and Rescue. Why go to a dog breeder, cat breeder or pet store to buy a dog or buy a cat when you can adopt?

Why Should You Adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life.

What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.

The second plus was the equipment, which is extremely necessary for a seaside holiday, a shower with hot water. The third privilege included a prudently equipped separate exit directly to the street. It allowed to bypass the common entrance, without causing unnecessary trouble for neighbors (married couples with children, mostly), who prefer a peaceful sleep at night.

Of the minuses, I will note the Soviet, terribly squeaky sofa that I got into my possession. It is difficult to imagine even approximately its richest history.

Now she did not feel pain, she wanted to sleep, and she relaxed, remembering her childhood and the sea. She even heard the screams of seagulls and the sound of incoming waves, even the smell of sea water tickled her nose.
