Run dsm

This tradition has always been one focused on building community through running. Each year we’re working to strengthen this community through finding unique and inspiring ways to raise funds, volunteer time, and do good.

With your help, we committed to raising funds for central Iowa organizations near and dear to our hearts.

This year’s featured charity partner:

The Chase Flack Memorial Fund

On June 1, 2019, during the first running of the EMC DAM to DSM, the running community lost a brother. Chase Flack lived life on fire. His pursuit of adventure, challenge, and greatness was truly second-to-none. In 2020, with the support of the ‘Capital Striders,’ a bench was placed in Chase’s honor near the finish line of our race.

Your support of the Chase Flack Memorial Fund will help to endow an annual scholarship given out by his family to a graduating senior in Chase’s honor. Furthermore, if sufficient funds are raised, Chase’s family will install a second bench in his honor at Jefferson-Scranton High School in Jefferson, Iowa, where Chase continues to hold the record for most wrestling wins.

Technical run-in sees sprinters do battle on opening stage

Giro di Sicilia

The Giro di Sicilia got underway today with a 179 kilometre long stage from Avola to Licata. Featuring several climbs, uncategorised and categorised, in the opening half of the day as the race headed inland, the final 80 kilometres would see a flatter affair along the coast.

It was a steady start to the stage with a three rider breakaway escaping and quickly building up an advantage that peaked at almost nine minutes. With all Team DSM riders in the bunch, focus remained on staying safe and conserving energy throughout the day. As the afternoon ticked by, the breakaway were slowly reeled in and the catch was made at 14 kilometres to go, with the team taking up a good position towards the front; keeping out of any potential trouble.

On the fast and technical run-in, it was chaotic with several attacks at the head of the race, with one rider almost holding off the charging peloton through the numerous and sinuous turns. The team came through the stage safely and unscathed, with Kevin Vermaerke getting up in the sprint to take 15th place at the line. Tomorrow sees a similar stage as the riders travel from Selinunte to Mondello.

Race for Hope DSM

2201 George Flagg Pkwy
Des Moines, IA US 50321

Race for Hope DSM is an annual event inspired by 16-year- old Des Moines native, Nicolas Lovan.  In November 2012, doctors diagnosed Nicolas with an inoperable brain tumor. Despite recently having brain surgery, Nicolas had an immediate desire to become an advocate. In May 2012, Nicolas and his mother attended the Washington, D.C. Race for Hope to raise funds for the National Brain Tumor Society and advocated for more research and funding by meeting with Congress at the White House Head to the Hill event.

The Washington, D.C. Race for Hope inspired Nicolas to host a similar event in Des Moines with the goal of becoming an annual event during Brain Tumor Awareness month in May to bring awareness to the cause, raise funds for research, bring the community together, pay tribute to those who have passed and celebrate survivors.

Race for Hope DSM launched in May 2013 with 600 participants and raised more than $25,000. Over the past six years, Race for Hope DSM has raised more than $250,000 for brain tumor research. The all-volunteer staff prides itself in keeping costs as low as possible in order to maximize proceeds sent to brain tumor organizations.

Over 42 years, more than 100,000 runners have made running from the quiet and calm of the Saylorville Dam to the heat and high-rises of downtown Des Moines one of the greatest running traditions in central Iowa. Whether you’re a weekend warrior, a first-timer, or a diehard this iconic running event is for you.

There is something unparalleled about standing on top of the Saylorville Dam and looking out at the high-rise buildings on the horizon knowing that you will conquer the distance in between. After crossing the dam athletes will travel south through the fields and rural beauty of Polk County.

Runners traverse I-35 at the Morningstar bridge and continue into the Northside Neighborhoods, along the Des Moines River at Birdland Park and enter into Downtown Des Moines via the John Pat Dorrian Trail. Athletes will finish their 20K journey by crossing the Des Moines River and passing the World Food Prize Building. And she would be obedient, she could have avoided all this, shitty whore. The woman did not resist when her son took off her shirt and pulled off her panties. Taking a camera, the man stood at the feet of his naked mother and took several pictures. - Now, old whore, spread your legs.

At the bottom of the giant belly dangled a heavy shaggy sack, and between it and the fold of skin in the groin peeped. Out a pink plum. Denis, the first lover, Svetlana, had a scrotum much smaller and pressed tightly to the body, and a member, even not in an excited state, was open to the. Eyes and hung down with an appetizing sausage.

I wonder what Misha is in working order, the girl thought.

Lerochka deviously unbuttoned her shirt on her husband, threw her booty onto her hips, and began to slowly move her breasts towards his.
