    I was wondering if anyone has any knowledge on how to wire it in? I&#;ve put them in several Kenworths, but always had a switch in the dash to tie into.

    I have one installed in my Columbia.
    I installed mine in series with the clutch pedal switch.
    So in essence when you throw the easy Jake switch on it breaks the circuit on the clutch switch and shuts the Jake off.
    Hooking it up this way also had another great unintended benefit.
    If you need to cancel you cruise control quickly just throw the easy Jake switch and the cruise is off and then turn it back on and your Jake is on (as long as your dash or steering wheel main switch is on)
    I also mounted mine the other way around so it’s a thumb operated and not pinky.

    I prefer to be able to have my Jake&#;s on while I have my cruise set though.

    Wiring it the way I did everything works exactly the way it did originally only now you have an extra switch (the easy jake) that can turn off both the jake and the cruise control.

    How did you wire your Easy Jake to your clutch switch?
    I have a 07 Columbia as well.
    I noticed there are 3 wires coming off of the swich.
    Did you splice into on of the wires?
  7. Cascadia has coded J switches, you cannot just wire in any old switch.

    I marked the wires in reference to the switch and then in did them.
    I then used an ohm meter and found the terminals on the switch that open and close with clutch activation and wired it in there.

  9. Cascadia has coded J switches, you cannot just wire in any old switch.
    You can still wire it in the clutch switch.
    When activated the truck computer thinks you pushed the clutch in.
    The computer is programmed to turn the jake off when you step on the clutch.
    That is also why when activated it cancels the cruise control.
    In essence the switch does not turn the jake off but tricks the computer on the truck to turn it off for you.
