"I have worked for SAS for almost 10 years now. In that time I have had both good and bad supervisors. I think that experience will be the same no matter where you go so I just wanted to be honest about that. As far as the grounds goes, SAS has an absolutely beautiful campus equipped with 6 gourmet cafeterias to feed the 10,000+ employees on site. Other perks include a full gym, pool, hair salon, on site daycare, and dry cleaning! This is truly a wonderful company to work for."

SAS Institute Inc Employee Reviews

A great, wonderful place - ONCE.

Test Engineer (Current Employee) - Cary, NC - July 28, 2019

I've been at SAS for a long time. It is no longer the secure, happy place it once was. There are too many stories of employees being let go: escorted out of the buildings, "early retirements (aka older employees encouraged out of their jobs)", other employees being told they are not meeting the requirements of their job descriptions; just a myriad of reasons. The company is not doing well and, as all companies tend to do, the people who have no idea how the company functions are the ones that keep the jobs and (most) people who do the work are laid off.

It feels like no one can speak up anymore without retaliation - since it is now an era of 'getting rid of people' to save money. It's like walking on eggshells.

People all around me, who aren't getting laid off or fired, are fleeing for other jobs.

It's bittersweet because it's still a wonderful place to be in: the food, the gym, a lot of the people. Even the work, despite its floundering in the market. The health benefits are top-notch. I will miss these things when I leave.
